- Description
- The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has a requirement for the North Horse Stewardship Project, for fuels reduction with forest and range health improvement. The project area contains 750 acres of Forest and Range Health Improvement service activities on public lands administered by the Eagle Lake Field Office. The project area is primarily Western Juniper woodland types with slopes of 0-15%. All merchantable material to be removed will be purchased from the Government and paid for by the Contractor through either application of Conservation Credits earned or cash deposit. The Contractor shall develop and submit a Treatment Plan and Schedule to accomplish the project objectives, and organize and direct all of the equipment and personnel needed to fully accomplish the work. The contractor shall furnish all technical expertise, labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, operating supplies, and incidentals necessary to complete the work required. The Treatment Plan and Schedule will be agreed upon by both parties and incorporated into the contract. The period of performance will begin on or about September11, 2007 and continue for no more than 24 months. This is a 100% set-aside for small business. The standard NAICS classification is 115310. This solicitation will be issued on or about August 7, 2007. The solicitation may be downloaded from the IDEAS-EC website: http://ideasec.nbc.gov/j2ee/login.jsp. Please print the Standard form (SF-1449) and print all clauses and attachments (located in blue box). No hard copies of the solicitation will be provided. A site visit has been scheduled for August 16, 2007 at 9:00 A.M. Participants will meet at the Eagle Lake Field Office, 2950 Riverside Drive, Susanville, CA. Potential offerors are to provide their own transportation at no cost to the Government. The Government assumes no liability on behalf of offerors attending the site visit. Offerors intending to attend the site visit tour shall contact Don Dockery at (530) 257-0456 or Ed Merrill at (530) 252-5396 or (530) 310-3219 at least 48 hours before the scheduled site visit and advise them of the firms name and number of persons that will attend. Contractors must be registered at http://www.ccr.gov to be considered eligible for award. Proposals are due no later than September 6, 2007 at 4:30 P.M. pacific standard time.
