- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This acquisition 100% set aside for small business; the associated NAICS code is 424710 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. The government will award a firm-fixed-price (FFP) contract resulting from the solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, with the lowest price. A written notice of award or acceptance of an offer mailed or otherwise furnished to the successful offeror within the time for acceptance specified in the offer, shall result in a binding contract without further action by either party. The government may elect to award without discussions. The contract for propane will be awarded on or about August 15, 2007. REQUIREMENTS: Mount Rushmore National Memorial, Keystone, South Dakota, has a requirement for the purchase and delivery of approximately 7,500 gallons of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG). Delivery is to be made to four separate sites; 1) Water Plant, 2) Waste Water Treatment Plant, 3) Housing, and 4) Museum Storage Facility. Delivery must be by bobtail truck as tankers cannot be accomodated at these locations. The contractor shall make deliveries Monday through Friday between the hours of 6:30 am and 3:00 pm. Driver(s) must call Al Sage 605-391-7944, 24 hours prior to delivery to schedule delivery. The purchase is a lump sum Firm-Fixed-Price contract. The magnitude for the purchase is less than $25,000.00. Product Service Code 9130, NAICS Code 424710. The Small Business Standard is: 500 employees. Paper copies of combined Synopsis/Solicitation will not be issued. The Synopsis/Solicitation can be downloaded at the DOI website (http://www.fedbizopps.gov) on August 2, 2007 and unless amendments are issued extending the solicitation the offers are due by 3:00 pm MST August 15, 2007.
