- Description
- The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Puget Sound (FISCPS), in support of Fleet Readiness Center, NW, is soliciting for the purchase of a heat treating furnace in accordance with specifications to be provided in the solicitation. The furnace will be used for annealing; solution heat treatment and artificial ageing of aluminum alloys; heat treatment and tempering of high carbon steel alloys, tool steels, and spring steels; and, post weld stress relief of J-52 engine hot section parts. The largest assemblies are expected to be 70 inches in length. This equipment will be FOB destination to Oak Harbor, WA 98278. The solicitation is being issued as a commercial acquisition under FAR Parts 12 and 13.5. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal or quotation, which shall be considered by FISCPS. This solicitation and any subsequent amendments will be posted to the NECO website: http://www.neco.navy.mil. Prospective offerors are responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation from this website and for frequently monitoring that site for any amendments. The Government is not responsible for any inability of the offeror to access the posted documents.
