- Description
- The Office of Thrift Supervision (OTS), a bureau under the Department of Treasury, regulates and supervises the Savings Association Industry nationwide. OTS hereby publishes this intent to negotiate and enter into a sole source contract with Verizon Business Services/Verizon Federal Inc., Arlington, VA for Internet/Extranet bi-coastal hosting and related backup, testing and COOP services for a base year period and 2 one-year options. OTS currently uses Verizon Business Services as its provider for Internet/Extranet hosting. It is imperative that OTS's Internet/Extranet service continues without interruption during any migration from the existing host servers to the new configuration. Vendors showing interest and capability to respond to the requirement must present clear and convincing evidence of the ability to ensure uninterrupted service during the transition. Vendors not able to demonstrate this critical need will not be considered as representing a bonafide capacity to meet the requirement. OTS intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested parties must identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. OTS will NOT consider any other provider if they cannot ensure continuity of service during any transition. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all proposals received with pricing and sufficient technical documentation to establish a bonafide capacity to meet the requirement received by 2:OO PM EST, August 8, 2007 will be considered by OTS. Any response to this notice must show clear, compelling, and convincing evidence that competition will be advantageous to the Government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document is available. Such information, if submitted, should be emailed isabel.romancogswell@ots.treas.gov. ALL QUESTIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED VIA EMAIL. TELEPHONIC QUESTIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. If this procurement is completed, no additional synopsis will be published and a request for a proposal will only be forwarded to the intended vendor and firms that respond to this synopsis of intent.
