- 9. Carpet shall be CUT PILE construction, 100% Solutia LXI, Type 6,6 Nylon, 2-ply, piece dyed, 1/10 gauge, 36 oz yarn weight, density 5539, tufted pile height of 10/32 , finished pile thickness of .312 with woven polypropylene primary backing and C lassicBac secondary backing. Carpet shall be fluorochemically treated for soil and stain protection. Carpet shall carry a ten year wear performance warranty. Carpet shall be equal to PATCRAFT Style All That Jazz 36. Carpet shall be installed over 3/8 100% pure virgin synthetic polyurethane foam extra firm padding. Carpet shall be stretched and attached with tack strips. The Contractor shall submit samples for selection of color.----- 11. Contractor shall be responsible for removal and reinstallati on of baseboards and any other trim in way of carpet installation. The Contractor shall also remove all shoe moulding and paint the exposed wood with McCormick Cool Platinum paint.
