Description
The U.S. Army Program Manager for Close Combat Systems (PM-CCS) is conducting a market survey to identify businesses that are capable of providing specialized technical training for the Shoulder Launched Munitions New Equipment Training. In addition to training soldiers with TAITC certified instructors, respondents must be capable of coordinating training with various Major Commands and home stations. The respondent must also demostrate capability of providing and maintaining sub-caliber training devices that provide realistic live fire simulation of actual firings of the M72 Lightweight Anti-Armor Weapon (LAW) and the M141 Bunker Defeat Munition (BDM). Interested firms must provide past experience in these areas and details concerning current employees who are Total Army Instructor Training Course (TAITC) certified and who possess experience with the following areas: (1) M141 Bunker Defeat Munitions (BDM), (2) M72 Lightweight Anti-Armor Weapon (LAW), (3) Classroom based training, (4) Live fire training using sub-caliber training launchers. (5) Live firing of tactical munitions, (6) Experience with the Total Army Instructor Training Course (TAITC), (7) Production, distribution, maintenance, repair, refurbishment and capability of supplying training materials, training launchers, sub-caliber training munitions, (8) Deploying New Equipment Training teams to locations within the Continental United States. Firms must also provide their business size and status. This requirement will require travel to various U.S. Army facilities and locations over a 2 ??? 3 year period, which may require security background checks. Responses must be submitted no later than 3:00pm EST on Aug 31, 2007. This market survey is for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or Invitation for Bid, and is not to be construed as a commitment by the U.S. Government to issue an order or otherwise pay for the information solicited. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the survey or results of information submitted, and telephone inquiries or emails will not be honored. No further information is available from the contracting office.
