- This project will be accomplished through the use of a stewardship contract, which authorizes BLM to enter into a service contract allowing for services for fuels reduction and forest health with vegetative material removed to be applied as an offset against the cost of services received (Public Law 108-7). The objectives of this contract, reduce fuels, restore forest health, and improve wildlife habitat for elk and white tailed deer. Location of this project is six (06) miles east of Forest Grove in Fergus County, Montana, in portions of Sections 5 and 6, Township 14 North, Range 22 East (Montana Principal Meridian). A site visit has been scheduled for: Friday, August 10, 2007, at 8:30 AM. Participants meet at: Bureau of Land Management Field Office, 920 N.E. Main Street, Lewistown, MT 59457. Potential offerors are to provide their own transportation at no cost to the Government. The Government assumes no liability on behalf of offerors attending the site visit. Offerors intending to attend the site visit tour shall contact Brad Eckert (406-538-1927) at least 48 hours before the scheduled site visit and advise him of the firms' name and number of persons that will attend. Prospective contractors must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR). Lack of registration in the CCR database will make an offeror ineligible for award. Prospective contractors shall also complete their annual representations and certifications (ORCA) prior to award. Information on CCR registration can be obtained via the internet at http://www.ccr.gov and for ORCA at http://orca.bpn.gov. The Request for Quotations will follow this Announcement. No hard copies of the solicitation will be sent out by this office but will be available on the website at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. Response date for quotes will be on or about August 30, 2007. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 115310. Small business size standard is $16.5 million See Numbered Notes 1.
