Description

The National Park Service intends to issue a prospectus for a 10-year contract for the operation of overnight accommodations, guided horse riding, food and beverage services, fuel services and retail services. Interested parties are invited to attend a tour of these facilities on September 6, 2007, prior to placing a bid. This site visit is intended to give prospective offerors an opportunity to view the current concession operations before the operations close for the season in early fall. This visit is intented to give prospective bidders a chance to examine the property and operations and ask questions of park staff about the contract. The prospectus for the concession contract is anticipated to be released sometime on or after December, 2007. Interested parties should contact Leigh Lisak, Chief of Administration, at (530) 595-4444 extension 5140 or by emailing leigh_lisak@nps.gov, by September 5, 2007, for details on time and meeting location for the site visit. This will be the only organized site visit but all prospective bidders are welcome to visit the concession facilities at any time on their own. Additionally, upon release the prospectus will be available for review at http://concessions.nps.gov/news.cfm.
