N00164-07-R-6833-Composite Expandable 2 Sided Shelter System-FSG-5411-NAICS 326199 Anticipated Issue Date-1 Aug 2007-Closing Date-17 Aug 2007 This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities(FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil.While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet,NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable.Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the NSWC Division Crane. Amendment 0001 Correction:This synopsis, which originally appeared in the FedBizOpps on 9 May 2007 for Composite Expandable 2 Sided Shelter System is hereby modified to read as follows: change from:FSG-4940 and NAICS 32;change to:FSG-5411 and NAICS-326199;change from: This will be a Firm Fixed Price contract; change to:This will be a Firm Fixed Price, 5-year IDIQ contract;change from:The solicitation is expected to be issued on or about 5/24/07 and expected to close on or about 6/25/07;change to:The solicitation is expected to be issued on or about 8/2/07 and expected to close on or about 8/17/07. Original The Government will procure a composite carbon fiber based shelter system to house the MCSET-40 tire changing facility.This Composite Shelter System(CSS)is a rigid wall portable structure(RWRS)of the expandable variety. It is high strength,low weight,corrosion resistant,noise vibration dampening and dimensionally stable with superior thermal insulation and contains a ballistic barrier with a minimum 30 year lifespan. All specifications of shelter are stated in accordance with the Statement of Work dated 7 April 2007.This will be a firm-fixed price contract. Shipment shall be FOB destination NSWC,300 Hwy 361,Code 6086, Bldg 3287E,Crane,IN 47522.Inspection/acceptance shall be at destination.This procurement is for a commercial item and FAR Part 12 procedures will be used. The applicable NAICS Classification is 326199 and the size standard is 500. The solicitation is expected to be issued on or about 5/24/07 and expected to close on or about 6/25/07. The Navy intends to solic it and negotiate this contract on a competitive basis.
