Description

The John D. Dingell Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 4646 John R. Street, Detroit, MI, 48201 intends to negotiate a sole source procurement with Swisslog Translogic, 10825 East 47th Avenue, Denver, Colorado 80239-2913. The proposed contract is for an upgrade to our existing Electric Track Vehicle System (ETVS). This system is utilized throughout the medical center for transportation of mail, supplies, specimens, etc. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2). All FAR provisions and clauses may be reviewed and/or obtained from the General Service Internet address: http//www.arnet.gov/far. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. A determination not to compete this proposed contract, based upon responses received, will be made entirely at the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Please submit information to Patricia Fox, Contract Specialist, Department of Veterans Affairs, John D. Dingell VA Medical Center, 4646 John R. Street, Detroit, Michigan 48201. Offeror must complete and return all information designated in FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offers - Commercial Items. All responses must be received no later than Monday, August 20, 2007 at 2:00pm EDT. Telephone and internet responses will not be accepted.
