- Special Notice Date: 6 August 2007 North American Industrial Classification Standard: 611310 -COLLEGES, UNIVERSITIES, AND PROFESSIONAL SERVICES Contracting Office: DCMA HQ, 6350 Walker Lane, Alexandria, VA 22310 Point of Contact: Sheila Thompson-White at sheila.thompson-white@dcma.mil Closing and Response Date ? 20 August 2007 The Defense Contracting Management Agency (DCMA) Procurement Office intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with the University of Virginia, under the authority of the 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) for leadership and development training courses. The University of Virginia is currently providing this training under contract number S5105A-06-P-0052. The Government requires one additional class during each of four contract option periods starting on 7 September 2007 through 6 September 2011 as follows: A 6-day technical classroom training in executive leadership and career development to 30 DCMA participants. It includes providing all necessary instructions, appropriate equipment, classroom space, leadership resources/books and motivational leadership guest speaker. Interested parties who feel that they possess the capabilities to satisfy this requirement should submit a capability statement demonstrating their abilities to meet this requirement. The information received in response to this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement to exercise the option. Documentation should be received within 15 calendar days, after that date of publication of this notice to be considered by DCMA. A determination by the DCMA not to compete this exercised option based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-14 and Defense Acquisition Circular 91-13. It is the contractor?s responsibility to be familiar with applicable clauses and provisions.
