Description
Contractor shall furnish the necessary labor, materials, and any incidentals necessary to complete three projects of thinning Eastern Red Cedar trees within the boundaries as specified in the solicitation. The objective is to thin the delineated tracts of Eastern Red Cedar. Equipment used will be a hydraulic powered rotary saw, chain saw, masticators, marshal or pincer type cutters, which will cut cedars within three (3) inches of the surface. The finished product will be smooth cut with no splintering or alligator stumps (a clean cut stump). The contractor will begin work within ten (10) calendar days of receipt of Notice to Proceed and be complete with each project in 90 calendar days. A mandatory site visit for all potential bidders is scheduled for Tuesday, August 21, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Branch of Natural Resources, 1 Mile North of Anadarko on Hwy 281, Anadarko, OK. Interested parties may request a solicitation packet after Tuesday, August 7, 2007 by writing the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Southern Plains Regional Office, Branch of Contracts, P.O. Box 368, Anadarko, OK 73005, or by faxing (405) 247-9922. Due date for receipt of proposals is Friday, August 31, 2007, 3:00 P.M., in the Branch of Contracts, Southern Plains Regional Office, 1 Mile North of City, Hwy 281, P.O. Box 368, Anadarko, OK 73005. Section 7(b) of the Public Law 93-638 (25 U.S.C. 450E) and 41 CFR 14-1.354 requires that preference opportunities in employment and training be given to Indian/Alaskan individuals and that preference in the award of the subcontracts be given to Indian/Alaskan economic enterprises. Estimated Amount for all three projects combined: $20,000 - $30,000 This procurement is being advertised under Full and Open Competition with no set-asides.
