Description

Historic wall paper reproduction for Appomattox Manor in Hopewell, VA. Appomattox Manor is a nationally significant historic structure and a primary / mission critical park resource for Petersburg National Battlefield. The structure is in a transitional period where its current used is being transformed from a multi-use structure to that of a house museum. This new role is identified in the park's General Management Plan. This contract is to replace painted over papers [that cannot be recovered] with period appropriate papers in the structure's East Wing Foyer, Library & Parlor. This is the area of the house that has many historic furnishings and is used to interpret the Eppes family and the economics of a southern plantation economy that resulted in Civil War. The work supports current / future projects that will relocate visitor contact functions to another structure located nearby. The Contractor shall fabricate and furnish 23 Rolls of Georgetown Medallion "C", 27 Rolls of Cornucopia Damask "A", 25 Rolls of Wheatlands Volute "D" and 64 yards of Palmette Border. The requirement is for Damask, Volute and Medallion papers specific to the 1840-1850 time period. This treatment must follow all recommendations and treatments outline in the Secretary of Interior's Standards for Rehabilitation, Restoration and Reconstruction. Product to be delivered on or before 11/5/2007
