Description
Presolicitation notice for solicitation VA-250-07-RP-0109 request for quotation; Louis Stokes Cleveland Veteran Medical Center, Cleveland, Ohio has a requirement for the following: BCMA Medication carts (91 total). The following types of carts: Medication carts (66), Pharmacy transport carts(8), and Point of Care medication carts (66). Each cart must come equipped with scanners (91) that are VA Approved Bar Code Scanners and Docking for Scanners. Non-proprietary configurations - ability of the site to replace PC, monitors, mouse and wireless networking technology in future without negative impact on warranty or service contract. Laptop or Computers: 1 for each cart: 91 quantity Computer PC equipment requirements: Small form factor / 1U rack mount / or laptop to act as CPU Small form factor PC or laptop that meets VA configuration standards to serve as CPU for medication cart point of care software use and is non-proprietary (one each for a total of ninety-one carts).Meets VA configuration standards. Availability for options of maintenance service contract. Sample of carts must be submitted for testing in order to be considered for award. Equipment will be available for testing onsite for one week for seven calendar days. To include one pharmacy transport cart, one (medium) medication cart, and one point of care cart. Testing will be at no cost to the government. Vendor will supply fully equipped medication administration carts and government will load required VA software to allow testing at the point of care. Guardian edge Encryption Anywhere and Air Fortress Wireless Encryption will be downloaded on the carts for the use during testing. Vendor will move the equipment between two divisions to permit end user testing doing actual medication administration. End users will rate equipment using standard instrument to evaluate the equipment in the location where equipment using standard instrument to evaluate the equipment in the location where equipment will be used. The PC's or laptops submitted for testing will be delivered 2 days before in advance of scheduled testing for our Information Resource Management Service to configure the PC's or laptops with the encryption software. The date of delivery will be on August 22, 2007 by 4:30 pm, EST. On August 22-August 24, 2007 IRM will install software on these days. Delivered to Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center, Brecksville Division, and 10000 Brecksville Road, Brecksville, Ohio 44141. C/O IRM. The carts for testing will be delivered no later than August 24, 2007 by 4:30pm EST. Testing will occur at both our Wade Park facility and Brecksville facility. The vendor will be notified when the equipment will need to be moved from one facility to another during the testing. The vendor will be required to report to the facility in order to transport the equipment for testing. Testing will begin during the following time frame: August 27, 2007 to September 1, 2007. The carts delivered for testing will be delivered to Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center, Brecksville Division, and 10000 Brecksville Road, Brecksville, Ohio 44141. C/O IRM. For approximately two days. August 27 & 28, 2007. On July 29, 2007 the carts will be picked up by the vendor and transported to (Wade Park) 10701 East Boulevard, Cleveland, Ohio 44106 for 2 days of testing. August 30 & 29, 2007 will be Wade Park testing. On September 4 &5, 2007 IRM will remove Guardian edge Encryption Anywhere and Air Fortress Wireless software.The carts will be picked up from 10701 East Boulevard, Cleveland, Ohio 44106 on September 6, 2007 by 4:30pm EST.
