- This announcement constitutes Solicitation number FA4801-07-T-0019, which will be issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The Government intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Contract. Per Far 36.204 the Magnitude of the project is estimated to be in the following range: Less than $25,000.00. The solicitation shall incorporate provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC 2005-16).This acquisition is to be 100% set-aside and awarded to a small business concern. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 238990. The size standard is $ 13 million. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The contractor shall install two chain link fences inside the DRMO Compound. One fence will be about four hundred forty four ( 444) feet long and the other will be about ninety four (94) feet long. Both fences will be five(5) feet high and will be located over the three(3) inches of asphalt pavement. The government will furnish all fencing material but Contractor will furnish all the concrete for the fence posts that is a normal ?strength concrete suitable for sidewalks and driveways. The Contractor must notify the Project Inspector if any fencing material is missing. The contractor shall survey the post locations and shall do all the coring for the fence posts as required. Post shall be at ten(10) feet intervals and set plumb and in align with each other. The line holes shall be thirty(30) inches deep and about nine(9) inches in diameter. The corner posts shall be thirty six (36) inches deep and about ten (10) inches in diameter. The concrete shall cure for seventy two (72) hours prior to attaching any fencing material to them. The posts must pass a fifty(50) pound force on the posts and the movement shall be less or equal to ? inches. Tension wire shall be attached at the bottom of the fence and continuous between corner posts at two(2) inches from the bottom. Chain link fabric shall be installed on the west and north sides of the posts. The fabric shall be fastened to the line posts at fifteen (15) inch intervals, and fastened to the tension wire at twenty four(24) inch intervals. The bottom must be two (2) inches above the pavement and braces and truss rods shall be installed at each corner posts. The braces and truss rods shall extend from each corner post to the nearest line post. The top rail shall run continuously through the post caps. PROJECT DETAILS: The solicitation, which will include the site visit date and time, as well as, other attachments will be posted on or about 9 Aug 07 and must be downloaded from FEDBIZOPPS. IMPORTANT NOTICES: 1) RFQ submission must be in accordance with solicitation. 2) If contractor is not registered in the Central Contractor Registry, they are not eligible for award (Ref, DFARS 252.204-7004, and Required Central Contractor Registration). 3) All amendments, if applicable, must be acknowledged.
