Description
This synopsis amends the previous synopsis for this requirement. The response due date is amended from 2007Aug16 to 2007Sep28. To procure technical, engineering, logistical services, and provide spare parts/supplies to support Corpus Christi Army De pot (CCAD) in the overhaul and repair of the T-62T-2B Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) and components applicable to the CH-47 Helicopter. The contract will be for a period of five (5) years, a base year with four (4) option years. The contractor must be able to provide a full range of services and the parts in order to meet the Government's requirement. The services include technology insertion, modernization of components, spare parts and test cell upgrades and operational proficiency in support of reliability improvements for T-62T-2B APU and components. The contractor will assist in establishing commerical best practices in the areas of production planning, production control, material management and processing engineering. This is a fully in tegrated effort. The contractor is responsible for development of overhaul workstation material kits and provide logistical support functions in the inventory management of the parts and material required by CCAD. The goal of this effort is to streamline CCAD APU production and reduce repair cycle time. This procurement is sole source to Hamilton Sundstrand Power Systems (HSPS), 4400 Ruffin Road, PO Box 85757, San Diego, CA 92186-5757. The authority cited is U.S.C. 2304 (C) (1) FAR 6.302-1 only one repons ible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Only HSPS has the background design knowledge, experience, data, and/or equipment to support technical, engineering, material , and moderization capability required by this eff ort. All offerors are encougaged to seek subcontracting opportunities from HSPS. All responsible sources may submit an offer that may be considered by the agency. There will be no telephonic or email requests accepted for this solicitation.
