- Lakehurst Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst New Jersey has a requirement for the following items in support of the E-6B, Aircraft Engine CFM56-2A-2: Sensor Clips, Part Number 8561352G01; Installation/Removal Tool, Part Number 856A1358G02; Cart Computer, Lini Gage, Part Number 856A1371G01; Core Rotation and Run-out Fixture, Part Number 856A1290G01; Core Manual Turning Fixture, Part Number 856A1375G02; and Fixture Adapter, Part Number 8569A1369G04. LINIPOT SE is used by the depot mechanic to assess the alignment of the rotors to the engine case and the roundness of engine cases. The Government intends to procure these items under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(C) (1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. GE owns the CFM56-2A-2 Engine and has licensed CFMI to manufacture tools for the engine. CFMI is the only company with the requisite expertise, experience, and technical data to provide the above listed items. CFMI owns the proprietary data to manufacture the LINIPOT SE which is needed to produce these items. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which may be considered by the government in determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the government not to open the requirement to competition based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
