- Description
- The U.S. Army, JM&L LCMC Acquisition Center, Picatinny, NJ on behalf of PEO Ammo/Office of the Project Manager Combat Ammunition Systems intends to issue a competitive Request for Proposal (RFP) for the manufacture, inspection, and delivery of Projectile Burster M85, on or about 29 Jun 2007 to support the 60mm Mortar Cartridge Ammunition load/assemble/pack (LAP) and Components programs. The anticipated RFP will be a fixed price contract for a one year basic contract award quantity of approximately 19,600 with four evaluated/priced options for estimated maximum quantities of 60,000 per option. The M85 Burster is used on 60mm mortar rounds. The burster consists of a burster tube, Composition A5 pellets, and disc. The burster is approximately 1.96 inches long and 0.398 inches in diameter. It is filled with pelletized Composition A5. Capability must include experience in fabrication, inspection, test and necessary equipment, facilities, tooling and material (including packaging and palletization material), and a quality system. Potential candidates must have manufacturing experience with machining, coating, and explosives. Potential candidates must have the capability of high volume production. The government plans on restricting this requirement to the NTIB. There is a Statement of Work (SOW) and Technical Data Package (TDP) which may be provided on CD-ROM to any interested offerors provided a Non-Disclosure Form is signed and returned to us.
