- DELETE the following from the solicitation: The Contractor shall coordinate delivery and installation of the barriers concurrently with removal of the existing barriers and redelivery of the existing barriers to a Government specified location (To be Determined). The Contractor shall ensure no lapse or gap in barrier protection. The Contractor shall meet or exceed the dates for delivery and installation of the barriers and removal of the existing barriers. Note: The Government will remove the existing, plastic jersey barriers from the site. In order to ensure timely removal of the existing barriers, the Contractor shall provide a delivery and installation schedule in its proposal and shall inform the Government weekly regarding the status of delivery. - Questions and ANSWERS ? 1. Are there any restrictions on working hours; can we work at night and on weekends and if so, are the hours restricted? YES, THERE ARE RESTRICTIONS. ALL WORK SHALL TAKE PLACE BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 6:01 P.M., AND 5:59 A.M., ON WORK-DAY WEEKDAYS. WORK MAY BE CONDUCTED ON WEEKENDS. 2. Can we run our light duty fork lift on the existing sidewalk? YES 3. What is the intended site for the delivery and offload of the existing plastic barriers; distance? THE REQUIREMENT TO REMOVE THE EXISTING BARRIERS IS DELETED. 4. Will we be responsible for the off load of the plastic barriers at the delivery site? THE REQUIREMENT TO REMOVE THE EXISTING BARRIERS IS DELETED. 5. What is the approximate weight of the plastic barriers? THE REQUIREMENT TO REMOVE THE EXISTING BARRIERS IS DELETED. 6. Can we drain the plastic barriers 24 hours prior to reloading them on trucks? THE REQUIREMENT TO REMOVE THE EXISTING BARRIERS IS DELETED. 7. There is a 6-8 week lead time for fabrication of the architectural concrete. Can the performance of the contract reflect this requirement and allow 10 weeks for performance from time of contract? YES. THE OFFEROR SHALL INCLUDE ITS DELIVERY AND INSTALLATION SCHEDULE IN ITS PROPOSAL. 8. Will we be allowed to place a dumpster on site for the disposal of approximately 100 wooden skids, plastic wrapping and banding material? YES, A DUMPSTER MAY BE PLACED IN THE BUILDING?S LOADING DOCK AREA WITH CERTAIN RESTRICTIONS: THE DUMPSTER MUST BE REMOVED FROM THE BUILDING SITE DURING THE HOURS OF 6:00 A.M. THROUGH 5:59 P.M. ON WORK-DAY WEEKDAYS. 9. Loading Dock was not address the day of site walk but is in your bid document. Do we need to provide solution? NO. THE LOADING DOCK AREA IS NOT PART OF THIS SOLICITATION AND NO SOLUTION IS REQUIRED. 10. Can we get CAD drawing for the building? We received a PDF from Paul Bowen but would be much more helpful to have CAD drawings. CAD DRAWINGS ARE AVAILABLE.
