- Description
- These are the answer to the questions recevied. The most frequent question was: We have 8 frequencies below 4.5 Gig and eleven above, so the range should be 4.0 to 5.0 GHz. 1) Is this specification for the radio(s) a product from a specific OEM like Harris or Alcatel etc? yes, Global Microwave Systems STC series or Pacific Microwave Research, Inc. (PMR model ODU-AR100/ODU-AT100) 2) Is this an equipment sale only or does the government require installation and commisioning etc? If it is brand name or equal to GMS or PMR, we have them both in use and will not need training, etc. 3) If installation is required will the government then provide lat-long and elevation information? N/A 4) The solicitation states that the transmitter and receiver shall be two pounds or less. Does this include heatsink and enclosure? Yes 5) How soon after the contract is awarded does the end user wish to receive the equipment? It should meet the terms dictated by the Contracting Officer. 6) What is the required/desired data rate? C.4.8 The Microwave Links shall use nominal - 24 inch dishes with 27 dBi gain. The term dish implies only point to point. 8) What is the required/desired range in miles? Fifteen miles, direct line of sight. 9) Is roaming required/desired? This does not dignify an answer, it is a LOS microwave dish video transmission system. 10) What is the required/desired channel bandwidth in MHz?
