- The U.S. Department, Office of Scientific and Technical Information (OSTI) intends to award a purchase order on a sole-source basis to American Instiitute of Physics for journals, under FAR Part 6.302-1 Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Sources Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Simplified Acquisition Procedures will be used. See attached list of journals. Firms who want to challenge the sole-source must submit an interest letter that demonstrates your firm's ability to provide the journals and rational as to why they should be considered, as described above. All interest firms must respond by 1:00 p.m. (EST), August 23, 2007, to Henrietta Thompson, U.S. Department of Energy, 1 Science.gov Way, Oak Ridge, Tennessee 37830. Fax number 865-576-3589. A determination by the Government not compete this proposed puchase order based upon reponses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose to determining whether to conduct a competive procurement. No reimbursement for any cost connected with providing capabillity information will be provided by DOE.
