Description

The Alexandria VA Medical Center in Alexandria, LA, on behalf of South Central VA Health Care Network (VISN 16), is conducting this Sources Sought search in order to locate a small business entity that can deliver milk and milk products to the VA Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System, located in Biloxi, MS, for the upcoming fiscal year (October 1, 2007 - September 30, 2008). This procurement is being conducted in accordance Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12-Acquisition of Commercial Items as contained in Title VIII of the Federal Acquisition Streamlining Act of 1994 (Public Law 103-355). NAICS code for this procurement is 311511-a business is classified as large when total number of employees exceed 500. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification the Contracting Office within ten (10) calendar days from the date of publication of this notice. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail, to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Responses received will be evaluated however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
