Description

The United States Army Communications and Electronics Life Cycle Management Command (C-E LCMC) has a requirement for an additional 80 Radar Processors (RPs), NSN: 5840-01-547-2653, as well as options for 270 additional RPs and 50 RP spares kits consi sting of the RP components necessary to replace items that fail. The RP is a critical component of the AN/TPQ-36(V), AN/TPQ-37(V), and AN/TPQ-46 FIREFINDER Radar Systems, performing all signal and data processing functions required to automatically locate hostile mortar and artillery projectiles. Thales Raytheon Systems (TRS), Fullerton, CA, was competitively awarded Firm-Fixed Price Contract W15P7T-06-C-M207 on 7 March 2006 to design, fabricate, integrate, test and deliver a replacement RP for FIRFINDER Radar Systems. TRS designed the required RP and is the only source that is in production of this item. The Government does not possess a detailed Technical Data Package (TDP) for this item. As such, the Government intends to issue a modification to Contr act W15P7T-06-C-M207 with TRS for the aforementioned RPs and RP spares kits.
