Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District, is conducting a Markey Survey. The purpose of this Sources Sought request is to obtain information on availability of fire alarm system components for new installations at Cape Canaveral AFS and Patr ick AFB offering full compatibility and interoperability with the existing Siemens SCXL multiplexing central fire monitoring system base control panel at Patrick AFB serving Patrick AFB and Cape Canaveral AFS. Components must be capable of communicating by cable (no radio frequency transmission) through the existing Siemens NCCNT-WAN system and the existing Cape Canaveral AFS/Patrick AFB Siemens SCXL multiplexing Central Fire Monitoring System. The following products are proposed in new installations at Cape Canaveral and Patrick AFB, FL to be compatible with the existing Siemens SCXL multiplexing Central Fire Monitoring System: a. Siemens MXL-IQ Medium Capacity Fire Alarm Control Panel manufactured by Siemens Building Technologies, Inc., and b. Siemens MXL-IQ Large Capacity Fire Alarm control Panel manufactured by Siemens Building Technologies, Inc., and c. Ancillary devices for above Fire Alarm Control Panels; to include but not limited to detection devices, notification appliances, control devices, alarm transmitters, etc. d. Program updates to the existing Siemens SCXL multiplexing central fire monitoring system, including changes to the EPROM, to enable the new fire alarm control systems to monitor and communicate with existing system. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain information regarding the acquisition and installation of Fire Alarm Control Panels to be installed in new buildings which would be capable of communicating by cable (no radio frequency transmission) through the exis ting Siemens NCCNT-WAN system to the existing Cape Canaveral AFS Siemens SCXL multiplexing Central Fire Monitoring System. Proprietary programming modifications and EPROM changes may be required to the existing equipment for compatibility.
