Description

The Government intends procure a firm fixed price purchase order on a sole source basis with Dewey Electronics Corporation of Oakland, NJ. As required by the Navy Munitions Command, Conus East Div, Yorktown VA, the purchase order is will be for 30 Sensing Elements, Fiberglass construction, to repair Rodmeters 6605-00-209-2055 IAW MIL U 18033 for the fleet. The procurement is sole source because Dewey Electronics is the manufacturer of the Sensing Elements used in the Rodmeters. The Delivery Date is 90 Days ARO. The NAICS is 333611. The statutory authority for pursuing this action on a sole-source basis is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. These are is proprietary sensing elements and Dewey is the sole manufacturer/ sole distributor and no other item will satisfy agency requirements. The solicitation and any subsequent amendments will only be available by downloading the documents at https://www.fbo.gov. This office will no longer issue hard-copy solicitations. By submitting a quote, the contractor will be self-certifying that neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any Federal Agency. Failure to so represent may be grounds for refusing to accept the quote. By submission of a quote, the offeror acknowledges that a prospective awardee must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award, during performance of the order and through final payment of the purchase order. Failure to register in the CCR may make an offeror ineligible for award. The solicitation will be posted on or about 10 August 2007.
