- Description
- The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Norfolk, Contracting Department, Philadelphia Office intends to solicit on an other than full and open competition basis a requirement for two (2) each XTS-410 DSG System (Model 3200) 3U rackmount, two (2) each 4-port 10 base-T/100 base-TX network interface cards and warranties in support of the U.S. Joint Forces Command (USJFCOM). The USJFCOM requires the equipment as network domain separation units for NSA certification, testing and evaluation of the Multinational Information Sharing Cross Domain Collaborative Information Environment capability. The procurement is being processed through other than full and open competition pursuant to the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with BAE Systems and its authorized resellers for this requirement. The required equipment is needed to replace existing XTS-400 platforms which have reached end-of-life status. The new XTS-410 will be used as the hardware for the Data Sync Guard that JFCOM is developing with BAE Systems. The XTS-410 is the only currently available device that supports STOP/OS 6.4, is under evaluation for Common Criteria EAL 5+ augmented, and supports the Data Sync Guard software. BAE Systems owns the proprietary rights as well as copyrights and patents to the hardware/software and is the sole manufacturer of the products. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by the specified response date. This notice of intent is not a request for proposals. However, the Government will consider information received by the specified response date. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed procurement action based upon responses received is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not pay for information submitted in response to this notice. The NAICS code is 334119 and the small business size standard is 1,000 employees.
