- This project includes reconditioning 9.19 miles of existing roads in the Smith Creek area. The work will include grading and reshaping the road surface and ditches, installing 18 inch culverts, and spot surfacing with crushed aggregate. The Project lies in Meagher and Park Counties, Montana in the Gallatin National Forest north of Livingston, Montana. Follow US Highway89 north from Livingston 28 miles to Wilsall. From Wilsall, take the Park County Shields River Road northeast 10 miles to Forest Road #844, then 1.5 miles east on Road #844 to its junction with Forest Road #991 in Section 20, the beginning of the Project. Anticipated solicitation issue date is August 13, 2007. Project will be solicited as a Request for Quotations as estimated cost is less than $100k. Estimated start date is Sept 15, 2007 with completion by Nov. 30, 2007.
