Description
1) Wheels - 100 each; 2) Tires, Mud Terrain - 100 each; 3) Suspension Kit - 20 each; 4) Wheel Nuts - 480 each; 5) Installation of Wheels, Tires, and Suspension Kits - 20 each; 6) Transportation Charges - 20 each. All of the above to be in accordance with following Scope of Work: U.S. Border Patrol Academy Driver Training Department Scope of Work 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe Retro-Fit Project 1. Equip twenty 2007 Chevrolet Tahoes with a 6 inch Suspension package. This package will include: a. An integrated lower control arm cross member with differential skid plate. b. Offset ductile steering knuckles to retain near stock turning radius with minimal track width change. c. No disassembly of factory strut assembly required for installation. d. Full lift height for proper clearance of 35 X 12.50 R 17 tires. e. No brake line, exhaust system, welding, or driveline modifications required for installation. Note: Contractor must provide, with their proposal, the manufacturer name and model number for the suspension being provided. 2. Equip twenty 2007 Tahoes with Mud Terrain Tires, in size 35.12.50 R17, spare included (100 Tires Total). Acceptable tire models are listed below. a. Interco TrXus Mud Terrain b. BF Goodrich Mud Terrain T/A KM c. Cooper Discoverer S/T d. Dunlop Radial Mud Rover e. Goodyear Wrangler MT/R f. Hankook Dynapro MT RT03 g. Nitto Mud Grappler h. Pro Comp Mud Terrain Note: Contractor must provide, with their proposal, the manufacturer name and part number for the tire being provided. 3. Equip twenty 2007 Chevrolet Tahoes with 17X9 black steel wheels (100 wheels total). Note: Contractor must provide, with their proposal, the manufacturer name and part number for the wheel being provided. 4. Equip twenty Chevrolet Tahoes with a new alignment due to suspension upgrade. Scope of Work: The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment and supervision necessary to perform the work to meet Department of Homeland Security (DHS) standards listed below. Installation: The contractor shall install a 6 inch suspension upgrade as per the above requirements. The contractor shall mount new tires and wheels. The contractor shall perform an alignment due to the suspension upgrade. The contractors shall pick-up 5 vehicles at a time at our location and return vehicles outfitted with the above products within 5 working days to our location. At this time, the contractor will pick up five more vehicles following the same timeline. The total delivery time for this project is no more than 30 working days. The government POC (to be provided at time of award) will inspect the vehicles being outfitted once the vehicles are completed. This inspection will take place at the contractors location. This inspection will allow the POC to inspect/evaluate and road test each vehicle prior to delivery. For additional cost to be incurred within the scope of this requirement, the Government and the contractor may negotiate via modification for changes. In the event that a reasonable solution is not available, the government will procure the services by other means to perform this new work. Warranty: The contractor will provide a warranty of one year for outfitted vehicles. If warranty work is deemed necessary, the vendor will pick-up vehicle at our location within two working days of notification. The subsequent work shall be completed within three working days. The total turn around time for warranty work shall be no more than five working days. The vendor must have various parts/components on hand to perform warranty work within the above guidelines. This is a combined synopsis/request for quotation for commercial items. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. FAR Clauses 52.212-4 and 52.212-5 are applicable to this acquisition. The following clauses are checked: 52.222-3, 52.222-19, 52.222-21, 52.222-26, 52.222-35, 52.222-36, 52.222-37, 52.225-1, 52.225-13 and 52.232-33. Offerors are reminded to include a completed copy of the Provisions at FAR 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, with its offer.
