Description
THE PURPOSE OF THIS AMENDMENT IS TO: Answer technical questions raised by potential bidders. QUESTION 1: Regarding Model # ETL32x1IFL, please specify the connector type as well as the impedance. ANSWER: L-Band with N-Type connectors and 50 ohms impedance. It does have gain so there is no loss associated with the 16:1 conversion. QUESTION 2: Regarding L-Band Switch - Manufacturer: ATCi, Model# ETL32x1IFL, Do you want the unit 6RU or 12RU? Connectronics and impedance? ANSWER: The switch and controller (together) are 50 ohm, SMA connectors, 50 to 2150 MHz operating range. All together (switch and controller) is 3U. QUESTION 3: Regarding the Connectronics CCIFI-16N, 1:16 combiner, please specify the connector type as well as the impedance and advise if this is an active or passive combiner and what the operating frequency is. ANSWER: 50 ohm impedance, SMA connectors, 50 to 2150 MHz operating range. This is an active device. QUESTION 4: Regarding the 1:16 Combiner ? Manufacturer: Connectronics, Model# CCIFI-16N, Connectronics does not recognize this P/N. Do you have a spec or alternate model number? Is this device passive? Is there a power pass or 10 MHz pass needed for one of these ports? ANSWER: Our requirement is 16:1 combiner with N-Type connector and no loss. Small footprint is obviously preferred. QUESTION 5: Regarding the Hub Canceller ? Manufacturer: ViaSat, Model# VA-021400-T000, Can you confirm this part number? ViaSat does not recognize this part? Is this a satellite modem with the PCMA technology? ANSWER: Purchasers will have to talk directly to ViaSat reps for this. QUESTION 6: Regarding Cables ? Manufacturer: Integrated Network Cables, Description: 80 ft of 6 ft Male to SMA Male cable, or equal, Quantity: 80 ft., can you explain the quantity? ANSWER: This requirement is 80 6ft cables (not 80ft of cable). These are for each of the SIMULSAT feeds (80) to connect to our switch matrix. QUESTION 7: Regarding Cables ? Manufacturer: Integrated Network Cables, Description: 80 ft of 3 inch F type cables (1 male Y split to 2 Female), or equal, Quantity: 80 ft., can you explain the quantity? ANSWER: This answer is the same as the previous, but these split the feeds from the SIMULSAT. We need 80 of these cables (not 80 ft of cable).
