Description
The Portland District Corps of Engineers intends to award a contract for one (1) telescopic boom rough terrain crane, 65 ton, or equal but not less than for Bonneville Lock and Dam, delivery no later than 180 days after contract award date. In additi on to the purchase of this crane, the Government is looking to salvage two existing cranes located at Bonneville Dam; a Grove RT635-Model RT635, Serial No. 67711, COE Bar Code 77567, and a Linkbelt MS78A (1962)-Model no. 6430, Serial No. CC1792, COE Bar Co de 51418. The salvage of these two cranes are optional Contracting Line Item's. The point of contact for this contracting action is Kathryn A. Newhouse, email Kathryn.A.Newhouse@nwp01.usace.army.mil, phone (503) 808-4620. This procurement is unrestricted, and therefore no set-aside will be made for small businesses. The Solicitation Package (technical data package) will be available for download from FedTeDs, www.fedteds.gov, on or about 10 August 2007 with proposals due 14 September 2007, or if different, as stated within the solicitation and any amendments that might be issued at a later date. An organized site visit has been scheduled for: THURSDAY, AUGUST 30th 2007, at 10:00 a.m., (PDT). Potential bidders are recommended to attend a scheduled site visit at the Bonneville Dam Project to gain information on Delivery restrictions (i.e. security gates, etc.). Additionally, the two Government cranes listed as optional salvage bid items will be available for review. In order to participate in the site visit you must send the required documentation outlined below to Kevin Perletti at 541-374-4572, 541-374-8761 (Fax) or kevin.p.perletti@usace.army.mil , no later than August 29th, 2007 at 1200 hours (PDT). Please provid e the following: (1) Legal Full Name(s) (2) Company (3) Position (4) Work numbers of individuals whom will be attending the site visit (5) Date and place of birth for each individual (6) Any other information that might be needed for security reasons This information must be provided at least 24 hours prior to the site visit. Anyone not on the approved list prior to the start time of the site visit will not be allowed through the security gate. In order for foreign nationals to participate in the site visit under Force Protection Condition (FPCON) normal they must send in, along with the aforementioned information, a legible copy of their passport and visa is required seven (7) business days prior to the site visit. This is necessary for security purpos es to gain entry to the facility. Further, if the FPCON level is at Alpha or higher the aforementioned information is required seven (7) working days prior to the site visit for processing via the Foreign Disclosure Office with the U.S. Army Corps of Engin eers-Headquarters. If the required information is not provided as specified or the individual does not pass the Governments security check, then the said individual will not be permitted to attend the scheduled site visit.
