- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is solicitation number W91YTZ-07-T-0144 and is a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acq uisition Circular 2005-17. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 423460; the Standard Industrial Classification Code is 5048 and the small business size standard is 100. This is a total Small Business Set-As ide.. Womack Army Medical Center, Fort Bragg, North Carolina, 28310, has a requirement for the following: CLIN 0001: KC-3300 CPU based storage system with software capable of photographying cells and performing automatic cell analysis; includes mouse, parts list, operator and service manuals. UNIT PRICE $_________, TOTAL CLIN $_____________. CLIN 0002: Konan Non-Contact Photography Specular Microscope SP-8800. The equipment is programmed for analytical computations according to the Center Method. One inst rument suffices for both photography and analysis. Data on cell density (pcs/mm2), S.D., C.D., and percentage of hexagonal cell is obtained with 2 to 3 minutes of input operation. The Government intends to make a sole source award for the supplies described herein to Carolina Optics, Inc. All offers received in response to this solicitation will be considered. Responses will be u sed to detemine whether bonafide competition exists. If offering an equal item, provide complete technical documentation and specifications in order to evaluate. The following FAR Clauses and Provisions in their latest editions apply to this solicitation. Offerors responding to this announcement shall provide all information contained in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Provision 52.212-1, Instructions to O fferors-Commercial Items. As stated in this provision, the Government intends to evaluate offers and award a contract without discussions with offerors. Therefore, the offerors initial offer should contain the offerors best terms from a cost or price s tandpoint. However, the Government reserves the right to conduct discussions if later and determined by the Contracting Officer to be necessary.
