Description

Description of Work - This current contract is to sequence the fungal DNA archived in 2005 and add the results to the public GenBank database. Currently mycologists worldwide are working to barcode fungal DNA (see www.allfungi.org ; www.bolnet.ca ; http://unite.ut.ee/). The goal of the BLM/FS Interagency Special Status/Sensitive Species Program is to have our rare Pacific Northwest fungal species represented in this effort and to make these species and their genetic information available to the public for further research and for species-specific markers to eventually be developed.
