- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Coordinating Center for Infectious Diseases (CCID), National Center for Zoonotic, Vector-borne, and Enteric Diseases in the Coordinating Center for Infectious Diseases (NCVZED), Division of Parasitic diseases is seeking to award a sole source commercial Purchase Order for software required for DNA sequence data analysis and DNA fragment analysis. The software required must be compatible with products currently in use in all State Department Laboratories in the United States. Delivery shall be one (1) week after award of order. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, the Government has determined that BioNumerics Module v4.6, distributed only by Applied Maths, Austin Texan, is the only software that can satisfy the Governments requirement for compatibility. Specifically, the following software products are required: five (5) each BioNumerics Module v4.6 ? Fingerprint Types, five (5) each BioNumerics Module v4.6 ? Character Types; five (5) each BioNumerics Module v4.6 ? Sequence Types; five (5) each BioNumerics Module v4.6 ? Comparison and Cluster Analysis; five (5) each BioNumerics Module v4.6 ? Identification and Libraries; five (5) each BioNumerics Module v4.6 ? Database Sharing Tools; and five (5) each BioNumerics PulseNet Configuration v 4.6. Subject to availability of funds, the Government intends to Request quotes on 27 August, with award by 15 September 2007. This is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. Firms that believe they can provide the requirement are encouraged to identify themselves and provide written notification to the Contracting Officer within fifteen (15) days from the date of this synopsis. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
