- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional Institution Gilmer, WV, intends to issue solicitation RFQ 119-0001-8 for the provision of various dairy products. The contract period shall consist of a 12 month base period for the entire fiscal year 2008, starting October 1, 2007 and ending September 30, 2008. Estimated requirements include: (1) 600 cartons cottage cheese, (2) 28,150 gallons 2% milk, (3) 28,000 cartons 2% milk (8 oz.), (4) 6,600 gallons skim milk, and (5) 2,100 cartons sour cream. The solicitation will be made available on/about August 28, 2007, and will be distributed solely through this website. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides downloading instructions to obtain all documents relating to this solicitation. All future information concerning this acquisition, including the solicitation and any subsequent amendments, will be distributed through the website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the website to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about the acquisition. The date for receipt of quotations is on/about September 18, 2007. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations have the right to submit offers equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The website for registration is www.ccr.gov. This solicitation is unrestricted and all responsible business concerns are encouraged to submit a quotation which will be considered. The anticipated date of award is September 28, 2007, with an effective award date of October 1, 2007.
