Description
The VA Medical Center, Bath, New York is seeking professional architect/engineering firms to provide construction documents, working drawings, specifications and cost estimate, shop drawing review and construction period services as required to Replace/Retrofit/Install Complete HVAC system at Building 33 at VAMC, Bath, New York. Design must meet requirements of OFM; HVAC Design Manual for Hospital Projects. Controls must include a central energy management system, capable of controlling the entire HVAC System building wide and be networked into a campus wide energy management system in the future. New design will take into account existing heating and cooling systems located at this facility. It will also utilize existing duct work and air filtration equipment where possible, in order to minimize construction cost. A/E shall survey for Asbestos, and provide Asbestos Monitoring Services during Construction as needed. Construction documentation must include phasing drawings for Demolition/Asbestos Abatement/New Construction with the 100% Submission Package. All designs must be certified by an engineer licensed in the State of New York. Building 33 is an administrative building. Building 33 has a basement and three (3) floors with approximately 3,600 gross square foot per floor. Electrical service to building and available electrical panels and systems will require evaluation and consideration. Additional electrical service and revisions may be required and shall be included in design. The following evaluation criteria will be used during the A/E selection process: 1. Specialized experience of the firm to perform the work required. 2. Capability of the firm to perform the work within required time frame. 3. Past Performance. 4. Specific experience and qualifications of the proposed personnel assigned to the project design team. 5. Geographic location of the firms working office in relationship to the renovation site. Firms desiring consideration must have a working office located within 150 miles of the Bath, New York city limits. All interested A/E firms are invited to submit Standard Form 330, Architect Engineer Qualifications and for any consultants, on SF 330 Extra Sections E and F.
