- Description
- The VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, University Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15240 has a requirement for construction for an Ambulatory Surgery Suite. Contractor shall provide all travel, labor, materials, tools, instruments, supervision, and all other items as necessary to perform work for construction for "Ambulatory Surgery Suite" at the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, University Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15240. Work includes, but is not necessarily limited to, construction of 4 OR's, 5 GI rooms, 2 fluoroscopy units, and assessment rooms, on the 3rd floor expansion of the bed tower and existing building. Work includes structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, asbestos abatement, radiological shielding and HVAC. Work will be completed in accordance with plans and specifications prepared by Apostolou Associates, Inc. The NAICS code is 236220 with the small business size standard of $31.0M. This is a 100% set-aside procurement for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) concerns. Responses from other than SDVOSB concerns will not be considered and shall be rejected. The construction cost range for this project is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. Solicitation will be available on/about Tuesday, August 28, 2007 to interested parties through electronic data interchange at http://www.fedbizopps.gov for downloading free of charge. Drawings are in AutoCAD 2007 format. The offeror is responsible to download all amendments and other documents from this website without further notices from the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System. It is highly recommended that you complete the solicitation mailing list on the website before downloading the solicitation. Hard copy requests must be submitted in writing to Cheryl Weidner at Contracting (04A1-H), VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, 7180 Highland Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15206. No telephone requests will be accepted. Bidders are advised that they are responsible for obtaining amendments from the website. Contact VAeCMSAdmin@va.gov regarding any problems downloading the solicitation from the website. A Pre-Bid Conference is anticipated for on/about Thursday, September 6, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. at VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, University Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15240. "NOTE: All offerors are strongly encouraged to attend the Prebid Conference. Questions must be submitted to the Contracting Officer by e-mail to Cheryl.Weidner@va.gov or by fax to 412-365-5451 no later than Friday, August 31, 2007 (5 days before Prebid Conf) so they can be addressed at the Prebid Conference. Further questions will be accepted by the Contracting Officer by e-mail or fax until close of business five (5) calendar days after the Prebid Conference, and responses will be provided to all bidders on the Bidder's Mailing List. Questions received later than five (5) calendar days after the Prebid Conference will not be addressed in the interest of adhering to the scheduled bid opening date. Bid opening will be on/about Thursday, September 27, 2007 at 3:00 PM in the A&MM Conference Room 373E, Third Floor, Bldg. 4 at the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, 7180 Highland Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15206.
