Description

Sole Source. The United States Army Contracting Agency Southern Region, Yuma Directorate, Yuma Proving Ground (USAYPG), Arizona, intends to negotiate a firm-fixed price contract on a sole source basis with Fairbanks Scales, 3118 West Clarendon, Phoen ix AZ 85017-4512. This contract will be for the purchase of (QTY 2) Fairbanks 2800 FM Approved intrinsically Safe Indicators 500 Lb x .02 Lb Divisions, to include accessories: battery packs, chargers, cell input cards, and capacity hanging crane scale with digital indicators and site programming and calibration. (QTY 2), Sartorious 24 x 32, 300 Lb. floor scales with digital indicators and wall mounts. Fairbanks scales must be procured in order to match existing scales. This is necessary to ensure test acc uracy and safety. Fairbanks scales is the only regional authorized distributor for its products in Arizona and New Mexico. Award of this requirement will be in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items a nd (FAR) Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Threshold. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETIT IVE PROPOSALS. Interested person may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirements or submit proposals. See Note 22 with the exce ption of response time. Submit any response to erik.reta@yuma.army.mil, no later than Aug 15, 2007 9:00am MST.
