- PRESOLICATION NOTICE ONLY: The Department of the Interior - Yellowstone National Park Service intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for an possible lease/rental of 40 snowmobiles. The solicitation will adhere to the format defined in FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and Part 15, Contracting by Negotiation. The Contracting Officer contemplates award of a firm fixed price contracts pursuant to the solicitation. For determination of size standards, please use North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 441229 and the small business size standard is $6.5M. The Department of the Interior - Yellowstone National Park Service has a need for snowmobiles and these details will be issued in the soliciation per the Statement of Work. The actual dates and times will be identified in the solicitation. Anticipated Base Period is Dec 1, 2007 - March 30, 2008 with a possibility of 2 (two) Option Year(s), subject to availability of funding for each Fiscal Year. Anticipated Solicitation date is August 27, 2007. Proposal must describe type and model of machines. Machines must comply with Yellowstone National Parks Snowmobile Best Available Technology (BAT) located at http://www.nps.gov/yell/parkmgmt/current_batlist.htm All information, amendments and questions concerning the solicitation will be electronically posted at the following webpage: http://ideasec.nbc.gov National Business Center Interior Department Electronic Acquisition System and/or via www.fbo.gov Federal Business Opportunity system. No telephone requests will be accepted. All inquires must be in writing, preferable via e-mail to the persons specified in the solicitation. Interested offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. Place of Contract Performance: Mammoth Hot Springs, WY and/or within the Yellowstone National Park area. This requirement will be 100% set aside for Small Business firms.
