- The U.S. Army Engineering and Support Center, Huntsville, AL is seeking potential contractors or sources for two impending procurement related to the instruction of courses titled Construction Safety and Floating Plant Safety. Interested sources mus t be able to provide all services, personnel, material, audio visual aids, training aids, and travel necessary to administer and present a course of instruction for sessions on both Construction Safety and Floating Plant Safety. This is not a formal solic itation. Contractors who can provide the U.S. Army Engineering Support Center with the services referenced below are invited to submit in writing an affirmative response that includes, at a minimum the proposed credentials and qualifications, any applicab le pricing data and any additional information indicating a bona fide ability to meet these specific requirements. Previous source of incumbent for these courses was Tabor Safety Consultants, Fayetteville, TN. The identified instructor for Construction Safety course must be thoroughly familiar through education and extensive experience with the Safety and Occupational Health (SOH) concerns and the methods of work in the broad range of construction missions condu cted on USACE facilities and projects. Areas of expertise shall include contractor construction and USACE Quality Assurance responsibilities, USACE Contract management, crane/life operations, and heavy equipment operation. Qualified candidates must have demonstrated experience and knowledge of the USACE specific SOH requirements, namely the USACE Safety Manual EM385-1-1 in its most recent publication as well as applicable sections of OSHA, and the ANSI standards. The candidate must also be a qualified in structor, having completed courses in Instructional Methods (or similair) and have 5 years of formal classroom instructor experience in construction SOH topics. Documentation shall be provided to the Government to show the successful completion of an Inst ruction Methods course and 5 years of formal classroom instructor experience in construction SOH topics. The identified instructor for Floating Plant Safety course must be thoroughly familiar through education and extensive experience with the Safety and Occupational Health (SOH) concerns and the methods of work in the broad range of construction missions con ducted on USACE facilities and projects. Areas of expertise shall include the specified activities of tow operations, dredging, marine construction, navigation maintenance, beach restoration, and marine surveying. Qualified candidates must have demonstra ted experience and knowledge of the USACE specific SOH requirements, namely the USACE Safety Manual 385-1-1 in its most recent publication as well as applicable sections of OSHA, USCG, and the ANSI standards. The candidate must also be a qualified instruc tor, having completed courses in instructional methods (or similiar) and have over 5 years of formal classroom instructor experience in marine SOH topics. The candidate must be physically able to assist in leading field trips to farious facilities and abo ard vessels ranging in size from crew boats to dredges. Documentation of teaching experience shall include: (1) when and where; (2) teaching audience; (3) title and brief description of the course taught; (4) course length. Instructor shall provide a copy of their diploma. The following information should be included with the response to this Sources Sought announcement: Duns Number, Tax Identification Number and Cage Code. All interested sources must be registered inthe Central Contractor Registration (CCR) before they ca n be considered as potential sources for the courses listed above. For this Sources Sought annoncement it is not necessary to submit any additional information, resumes, sales materials or brochures.
