- Description
- The NATO Consultation, Command and Control Agency (NC3A) is performing a survey of tools that support the Collection Coordination Intelligence Requirements Management (CCIRM) Process. All qualified firms are invited to participate in this survey. The CCIRM process is applied in Joint Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance. It is designed to provide a timely flow of intelligence to supported and supporting commanders. The CCIRM process provides a dedicated management structure through which the commander?s priority intelligence requirements (PIR) are expressed. The CCIRM process facilitates the most economic use of available sensors in order to ensure the timely satisfaction of the intelligence surveillance and reconnaissance collection requirements. The process requires large amounts of input from various sources and undergoes frequent changes and updates. As such, the CCIRM process is most efficiently conducted when supported by a software tool. CCIRM tools have been used and demonstrated during exercises under the auspices of the Multi-Sensor Aerospace/Ground Joint ISR Interoperability Coalition (MAJIIC). The aim of this survey is to identify available CCIRM tools. NC3A will create a short list of suitable candidates that could be used in current NATO operations. To support the survey, U.S. firms are requested to provide information regarding CCIRM tools that they may have developed or are developing. At this stage, NC3A is seeking information of the type normally used in advertising or in a press release. As the information is received and analyzed, NC3A may follow up by requesting more detailed information from a particular firm. The information required for the survey should include the following: - The CCIRM tool name - A brief functional description - Hardware requirements - High-level documentation on capability - Availability for use in NATO operations (export/technology controls, IPR restrictions, etc.) - An approximate delivery schedule (When could the CCIRM tool be made available?) - An estimate of costs (ROM), such as purchasing and maintenance of licenses No later than 25 September 2007, U.S. firms should submit their information to the Department of Commerce, which will forward the information to NC3A. U.S. firms should send their information to the following Department of Commerce address: lcarpent@bis.doc.gov
