All of the Rainin tips and pipettes being purchased are based on the mechanism of LTS systems, which is an advanced ergonomic technology that prevents multiple laboratory related fatigue syndromes for those who use regular pipettes. Laboratories have ongoing important influenza and HIV projects whereby they are required to do a lot high throughput ELISA?s, and phage based experiments. This exercise led to wrist and hand problems and carpal tunnel syndrome for users. The Rainin pipettes are electronic multi-channels which are highly ergonomic and give very accurate and highly reproducible pipetting that is required for experiments. This technology is proprietary and exclusively offered only by Rainin. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTES. However, sources may submit descriptive literature, fully documenting their capabilities, which will be considered by the agency. A determination to compete this procurement based on response(s) to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The FDA intends to make an award immediately after the response date of this notice. The award will be made in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
