- <CENTER> AG-0116-S-07-0056 STOCKPILED AGGREGATE PRODUCTION</CENTER> REQUEST FOR QUOTES: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; QUOTES are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Although, associated documents including supplemental specifications, drawings, and special contract requirements will be incorporated into any resultant award and should be reviewed prior to submitting a QUOTE. These documents are available under AG-0116-S-07-0056A and posted concurrent with this notice. QUOTES may be submitted via email to mailto:ksteffey@fs.fed.us or via fax to 907.228.6241 not later than close of business, August 30, 2007. SET-ASIDE: This acquisition is totally set-aside for Hub-Zone, NAICS 115310. The size standard for this acquisition is $6.5 million. Submission of a quote constitutes a representation that the contractor is Hub-zone certified. APPLICABLE CLAUSES: The following Federal Acquisition Regulation clauses are incorporated by reference: 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items; 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items; 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders (the following clauses are checked as included: 52.219-3, 52.222-26; 52.222-35; 52.222-36; 52.222-37; 52.225-3 and 52.232-33), 52-217-7, Option for Increased Quantity Separately Priced Line Item (fill-in: April 1, 2008). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-18. Any contract resulting from this combined synopsis/solicitation will be a supply contract subject to the terms and conditions as stated above. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Tongass National Forest wishes to acquire 10,000 CY of crushed stockpiled aggregate and up to an additional 10,000 CY with exercise of both options. All rock to be crushed to specification and stockpiled at two separate locations on Prince of Wales Island, Southeast Alaska. Quarry locations, if contractor elects to utilize existing rock sources shown on the drawings, shall also be the stockpile sites. All work, including mobilization, associated with providing the stockpiled rock will be incidental to the payment for the rock on a cubic yard basis. The work includes certification for quality & quantity, quality control & quantity measurement, including sampling, testing, equipment, personnel, and inspections necessary to meet contract requirements. STOCK PILE LOCATIONS: This project is located on Prince of Wales Island in the Little Lake and Red Bay areas and can be accessed from the existing road system. The Little Lake stockpile site is located on road NFSR 30 at milepost 41.69 The Red Bay site is on NFSR 2079 at milepost 0.32 near the junction of the NFSR 2079 with NFSR 20 at milepost 113.49 of NFSR 20.
