- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, U. S. Medical Center for Federal Prisoners, Springfield, Missouri, intends to solicit for bulk solar salt, extra course for water softeners located at the U.S. Medical Center for Federal Prisoners. The successful contractor must have the capability and equipment for the salt to be blown through a 4" pipe to a brine tank. This tank is located outside the perimeter fence at the powerhouse. Estimated 24-tons of solar salt per each delivery. Estimated eight (8) deliveries during the period of October 2007 through September 2008. Delivery schedule will be based on an as needed basis. Award will be made to the responsible contractor who submits the most advantageous quote to the Government based on price. The type of contract to be awarded will be a firm-fixed price, indefinite-delivery, requirements. The quotation will be available on or about August 27, 2007 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration Federal Business Opportunities website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov . The website provides all downloading instructions to obtain a copy of the quotation. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. This website for registration is www.ccr.gov. All future information about this quotation, including amendments will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The anticipated date for receipt of quotations is September 14, 2007. This acquisition is set-aside 100% to small business, therefore all responsible small business concerns may submit a quote. Faith -Based and Community -Based Organizations have the right to submit quotes equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible.
