Description
VA is seeking an Architect/Engineer for design services at the VA Medical Center, Louisville, KY, for Project #603-07-137, MRI site prep. In collaboration with VA staff the A/E firm shall provide a complete set of working contract drawings and specifications (in both paper form and electronic form) for the project. The project will involve the design services for demolition and reconstruction of Radiology area to accommodate replacement of MRI equipment on 2nd Floor of Building 1. Additionally, A/E will provide design services to convert existing Physical Medicine area into a new MRI unit and cardiac cath lab as well as structural and power requirements that may be necessary. Project will include demolition, medical gases, HVAC, and architectural remodeling. Design includes preparation of complete drawings in AutoCAD 2005 format or newer, specifications, detailed phasing plan and sequence of operations for minimum disruption of hospital operations and construction cost estimates per VA guidelines. The new design will conform to current standards and provide adequate facilities for patients and visitors. This notice is issued subject to availability of funds and is not a request for proposal. The NAICS is 541310, Size Standard $4.0 million. Please state the size standard of your firm. Estimated construction cost range for the first phase is $500,000. Architect and Engineering Firms who possess experience in this type of design and renovation shall submit SF 330s (two copies required) to Linda Dickey, Contracting Officer, VA Medical Center (90C), 3400 Lebanon Pike, Murfreesboro, TN 37129 not later than 2:00 PM EST, September 18, 2007. Qualifications submitted by each firm will be reviewed and evaluated based on the following criteria: Specialized experience and technical competence of firm (including a joint venture or association) with the type of services required; Specific experience and qualification of personnel proposed for assignment to the project and record of working together as a team; Professional capacity of the firm in the designated geographical area of the project to perform work (including any specialized services) within the time limitations; Past record of performance on contracts with the Department of Veterans Affairs and geographic location and facilities of the working office(s) which would provide the professional services and familiarity with the Louisville VAMC area.
