Description
PREVIOUS NOTICE CORRECTED TO READ AS FOLLOWS: The VA Medical Center, 1540 Spring Valley Drive, Huntington, West Virginia, 25704 has a construction requirement for Project No. 581-07-114, Site Prep for Ct Scan. Contractor will be required to provide all labor, material, equipment, transportation, and supervision necessary to complete the project in accordance with specifications and drawings of VA-249-07-IB-0109. Work includes general construction, alterations, mechanical and electrical work, utility systems, necessary removal of existing structures and certain other items needed to complete the project as stated in specifications and drawings. Completion time for project is 180 calendar days after issued notice to proceed. North American Industrial Classification Standard (NAICS) code assigned to this construction project is 236220 with a small business size standard of $31 million. The estimated cost range for this project is $500,000 to $1,000,000. THIS PROCUREMENT IS 100% SET ASIDE TO SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS (SDVOB) CONTRACTORS. The SDVOB must be small under relevant NAICS code and must be registered and verified in the following websites: www.vip.vetbiz.gov www.ccr.gov and https://orca.bpn.gov to be eligible for award. Bidders must ensure their registrations are updated, correct, and have not expired. Information regarding the site visit scheduled will be stated in the solicitation. Bond information: A 20% Bid bond must be submitted with bid. The awardee shall be required to provide both a performance bond and a payment bond in 100% of the award amount. This solicitation will be posted on or about August 17, 2007 at the Federal Business Opportunities (Fedbizopps) website www.fedbizopps.gov Paper solicitations will not be issued, contractors must obtain solicitation and amendments (if issued) from this website. Firms must request drawings in WRITING. Faxed requests for drawing should be marked to the attention of Sherri-Lyn Teeters and sent to fax 615-867-5429 or emailed to sherri.teeters@va.gov. NO VERBAL REQUESTS FOR DOCUMENTS OR INFORMATION WILL BE ACKNOWLEDGED. Amendments will not be mailed but will also be posted at the Fedbizopps website. Bidders are reminded they are responsible for obtaining and acknowledging all amendments to the solicitation prior to the time for bid opening. Bids are due no later than 2pm CT on 9-18-2007 in Building 5, First Floor, Room 154, Acquisition Service Center VISN 9 (90C), Alvin C. York VA Campus, 3400 Lebanon Pike, Murfreesboro, Tennessee 37129. NOTE: Bids should not be sent to the VA Medical Center, Huntington, West Virginia as the bids will be opened at the VISN 9 Acquisition Service Center, Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
