Description

FISC, Norfolk Contracting Department, Philadelphia Office intends to acquire, on a sole source basis in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, textbooks and publications from the U.S. Naval Institute Naval Institute Press. The textbooks and publications are required by the Naval Service Training Command (NSTC) Great Lakes, IL for the Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (NJROTC), the Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps (NROTC), and Navy and Marine Corps libraries. The supplies are currently being furnished by the U.S. Naval Institute Naval Institute Press under contract N00140-02-D-0629. An Indefinite Delivery, Requirements contract, with resultant fixed priced delivery orders will be issued. The anticipated period of performance will be a base year, and four one-year options. The Naval Institute Naval Institute Press is considered the only supplier of all the required textbooks and publications. This contract is for supplies which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The proposed acquisition will be conducted under the provisions for Commercial Items in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12. The solicitation will require the submission of cost/price proposals. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by FISC Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia. SEE NOTE 22.
