Description
The Fleet & Industrial Supply Center, Puget Sound is soliciting for a firm, fixed price supply type contract to be negotiated on a full and open basis for modular armored security shields and ballistic weapons stands in support of Fleet Activities, Sasebo, Japan 96322-0064. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals prior to offer due date. The Modular Armored Security Shields (MASS) and Ballistic Weapons Stands are custom designed to provide protection around the MK16 tripod system. The security shields are configured to allow full integration with the current MASS system CNC laser cut with ITC (trademark)(interlocking Tab Construction) to allow for precise fit and eliminate welds, all surfaces are constructed of 3/8 inch or 1/2 inch AR500 (Abrasion Resistance Wear Plate - Armor Plate) which has a NIJ Level IV and UL Level 8 Rating. All connector seams have 100% true Overlapping Ballistic Integrity (OBI) (Trademark) and are manufactured to allow replacement of the existing MK16 tripod without modification. The Ballistic Weapons Stand interfaces with all modern military weapons mounts and allows free movement of the M2HB and MK19 weapons systems. Delivery is required to be within approximately 60 days after contract award with inspection and acceptance FOB Origin and shipping to Tracy, CA 95376 for transshipment to Sasebo, Japan. The acquisition will be made in accordance with FAR Part 15, utilizing Low Price Technically Acceptable evaluation. This procurement is issued on a full and open basis. The solicitation will be issued on or about 21 August 2007 with a closing date of 04 September 2007. The Government anticipates award of a single firm fixed price supply type contract. Prospective offerors not CCR-registered should immediately begin the registration process. The solicitation will be posted to the NECO web site: www.neco.navy.mil under Business Opportunities under solicitation number N00406-07-T-1647. The Government will NOT distribute hard-copy solicitations or amendments. The Government will not mail, fax, or e-mail the solicitation or any amendments thereto. Subsequent amendments, if any, will be transmitted solely via the NECO web site. Prospective offerors are responsible for checking the NECO web site early and periodically for any solicitation amendments. Prospective offerors should not expect notification that an amendment has been issued. The NECO web site is occasionally inaccessible due to maintenance. The Government is not responsible for any loss of Internet connectivity or for an offerors inability to access the document posted on the referenced web site. Telephone and facsimile requests will not be honored. Electronic submission of proposals is NOT available for this procurement.
