- The Facilities Development Department, Marine Corps Air Station, Cherry Point, NC has a requirement for a diesel package generator set and an automatic transfer switch. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number M00146-07-T-3365 is hereby issued as a Request for Quotation. The incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-17 and Defense Acquisition Circular 98-90. This acquisition is unrestricted and is under the North American Industry Classification System code 335312, with a small business size standard of 1000 employees. This requirement is for a firm fixed priced contract for the following items brand name or equal. Note: The only brands acceptable for the engine is Caterpillar or Cummins. Item 0001, 1 each generator set. Caterpillar D100-4 diesel package generator set, rated 100kW standby, 120/208 VAC, 30/4W, 60 Hz at 1800 RPM. To include the following accessories: EPA Certified Engine UL2200 Listing Control panel with auto start-stop, alarms and shut downs Electronic governor Radiator with engine drive fan Critical grade exhaust silencer (mounted inside generator enclosure) Lead acid starting battery with rack and cables UL listed battery charger Coolant heater Output circuit breaker, mounted on generator Sound attenuating weather protective enclosure UL listed double wall fuel tank (24 hour supply at 100 percent load) Structural steel base, with seismic vibration mounts Lubricating oil and antifreeze-initial fill Operation and maintenance manuals Caterpillar two (2) year parts and labor warranty for standby use Startup and testing during normal business hours Item 0002, 1 each Thomason Technology TS883A0800B1AE2ENKAA-FTS4 Automatic Transfer Switch, 800 amp, 120/208 volt, 30/4W. To include the following accessories: NEMA 3R lockable enclosure Service Entrance rated Molded case utility circuit breaker with electronic trip Molded case switch on generator circuit Standard TSC800 controller Four function test switch The delivery requirements are FOB destination and are to be delivered to Marine Corps Air Station, Cherry Point, NC 28533. Delivery is required within sixteen (16) weeks of award or sooner. The following clauses and provisions are incorporated and are to remain in full force in any resultant purchase order: FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offers - Commercial Items (SEPT 2006). Award shall be made to the overall lowest priced (total of CLINS 0001-0003), responsible offeror, whose offer conforms to the solicitation, and who demonstrates acceptable past performance.
