Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items, prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotes are being requested and a separate Request for Proposal (RFP) will not be issued. This solicitation, number 7T-C-513, is to be used for a Request for Quote (RFQ) only. This procurement is restricted to 100% small business concerns. The NAICS code is 335999 and the size standard is 500 employees. Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR Subpart 13 apply. The requirement is for quantity 1, unit each, of 2007 Detroit Diesel Series 60, Diesel Engine Trainer. This is a brand name requirement. Delivery Date is 30 days after receipt of award. Ship To: Det 1 345th TRS, c/o Benjamin Maltese or Channon Malkin, 480 West Rd, Naval Base Ventura County, Port Hueneme, CA 93043. FOB Destination is required. Quote must be effective through 30 September 2007. FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation of Commercial Items applies-Quotes will be evaluated based on most advantageous to the Government, price, and other factors considered. The following factors are stated in relative importance and shall be used to evaluate quotes: 1.technical capability of the item offered to meet the Government requirement for 2007 Detroit Diesel Series 60, Diesel Engine Trainer; 2.price; 3.delivery date (see FAR 15.304). The required item is to be purchased as brand name Deroit Diesel. No equal product will be accepted. Currently, these engines are used to teach Air Force automotive technicians current and relevant information regarding diesel engines. The Air Force Vehicles use these types of engines and therefore the brand name can only be accepted in order to keep consistency in training. This combined synopsis/solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-19.
