Description

The Bureau of Census National Processing Center (NPC) in Jeffersonville, Indiana, requires a qualified electrical contractor to provide all labor, materials, equipment, and management to provide and install approximately 300 feet of conduit from a 480v. Distribution Panel to a designated location, provide and install a step-down transformer and breaker panel, provide and install a 42-breaker panel with main, and install conductors from the newly installed distribution breaker through the conduit to the transformer, and from the transformer to the breaker panel. All takes place in one building at the Census Bureau in Jeffersonville, Indiana, in accordance with available Statement of Work (SOW) and drawings. Some work may be done during other than normal hours, such as the electrical shut down of the building. Davis-Bacon wage rates apply. The estimated cost is between $25K and $100K. A bid guarantee and payment bond or alternative payment protection is required in accordance with FAR 28.102. NPC Census anticipates issuing a solicitation on or about Thursday, 23-AUG-2007, with responses required no later than Wednesday, 05-SEP-2007. There is no pre-solicitation conference, however, site visits are recommended and can be arranged by appointment with the listed contact. This is a small business set aside action. The NAICS is 238210, Electrical Contractors. Respondents must be actively registered in CCR (www.ccr.gov).
